The 2011 USAR National Intercollegiate Racquetball Championships presented by Penn Racquet Sports concluded as nearly 340 of the best young college racquetball players representing 50 colleges and universities from across the country played for collegiate championships. The event was hosted at the ASU Rec Center, one of the premiere college clubs in the country with fourteen backwall glass championship courts and stadium style seating for all spectators. The facility and the staff make this event one of the most successful national tournaments hosted by a college or university. Also up for grabs are one-year appoinments to the USA Racquetball Adult National Team as winners of the men's and women's singles #1 gold division would be named to the National Team that competes and represents Team USA at all international and world competition.
Taylor Knoth defeated Nick Montalbano 15-2, 15-10 in the finals of the Men's singles, and Michelle Key defeated Sharon Jackson 15-11, 15-14 in the finals of the Women's singles.
The results and final standings from the Collegiate Racquetball Championships were released as Colorado State University-Pueblo won the men’s national title and Oregon State University racquetball team won the women's national title. The OSU Beavers would also claim the overall national team title (men's and women's combined) for the fifth time in the last six years. (’06, ’08, ’09, ’10, ’11)
The OSU women's team beat out the women's team from Baldwin Wallace College for their third consecutive national title.
